performance enhancer?

ooh! guess what i brought back with me from my vacation (besides souvenirs, gifts, a farmer's tan, and more shoes)?

i think i have more red blood cells, thanks to being at high altitude for the month of august.

or at any rate, there must have been something magical & beneficial about spending time in colorado, because my athletic performance has suddenly and miraculously improved. even in this sauna-like east coast weather, i seem to be able to swim and run without too much effort ... or at least with less effort. i don't get winded and out of breath as quickly.

perhaps there's something to be said for high altitude training.

take me back to the rockies.
