OK....I don't have a Twitter account, but, now that I've just updated my Facebook status, here is my attempt at "live-blogging": I am at home right now watching history being made. Barack H. Obama has just taken the oath of the office as the 44th President of the United States of America! Wow. (As is only appropriate, the university has cancelled classes between 11am and 2pm in order for people to watch the inauguration on tv).Today is the dawn of a new era, and as a proud American, I genuinely hope all here can find a reason to be optimistic today, and hopeful that our country can move in a positive direction, socially, economically, and globally.
I am in awe of this moment.
