Unravel Me

enchantment next door

so spring classes have begun. we had a winter storm today. it was pretty, but treacherous. have i mentioned before that my university seems to get this perverse satisfaction from NEVER officially closing due to weather, even when everything else shuts down? right. well, i declared today a snow day for myself because, really, i had no choice (no, really, i didn't!). as i left for school and drove halfway down my street, i discovered that down the hill, a whole bunch of cars had spun out, slid off the road and into ditches, or gotten stuck at the bottom of the hill. only one jerk in a heavy Cadillac SUV with black tinted windows and New York license plates went speeding recklessly by as though s/he had not a care in the world--neither winter weather, nor $3/gallon gas could slow him (her?) down.

anyway, reverse i went, spending the rest of this wintry thursday in the comfort of my home, back in pajamas. (the only exception was a late-afternoon trip to the gym across the street for a 40 minute workout on the treadmill, listening to....Missy Elliott, Kelly Clarkson, the Spice Girls, the Kinks, and Kylie Minogue on my ipod). yes, i know--it's all part of my running/workout music mix.

exercise aside, laziness seems to be the word of the day. there's not much else to say here today, other than that i'm SO loving the new camera. so in the name of laziness, for a photo taken by me recently in Santa Fe, hop on down to my "vacation home" next door on bl0gsp0t . there's a bonus audio-clip to listen to as well. let's hear it for good free image-hosting!
