dear diaryland,
is anyone still out there?
i'm back home! oh my. how can i even begin to describe everything we experienced? in one word: amazing. now i just need some time to come up with words to do it justice. there are many photos, for sure. but maybe all of that doesn't matter, because sometimes, all that is important in capturing everything is your own private experience of an event...how you took it all in through your five senses and placed those things in your heart and brain. sometimes that's all that matters, right?

i've spent the past couple of weeks recovering from jet lag of epic proportions. (when your days and nights are completely reversed, it takes about two weeks to *fully* flip back to local time). fittingly, my jet lag recovery came just in time to enjoy a good 4th of july holiday and take in some bright fireworks.

...until i find the right words...
