5...4...3...2...1...woof!

first off, happy chinese new year! the year of the dog started wagging its festive tail yesterday, and that can only mean an auspicious year ahead. what did i do to observe the holiday? i ate noodles, which i'm told is a good way to celebrate, according to asian legend. they say that eating long noodles ensures a long life, and that's fine with me! here's to a great year of the canine.

second, i'm back in town from my trip to the land of the nittany lions. it was an extremely good trip all-around, and i'll probably say lots more about it later.

third, i gave in to temptation last wednesday. yes...i wore my low-rise black workout/activewear pants to work, and it was liberating in a weird kind of way to dress down. my workplace is far from being formal and stiff like a law office. but it's certainly not a jeans & t-shirt/fleece kind of place, so wearing these pants just.felt.nice.
