Unravel Me

who killed wellington?

...what a lovely christmas! it was a fabulous holiday which brought me many great presentsamong them, this brilliant book: the curious incident of the dog in the night-time. i just started reading it today and am hooked. sure, all those five-star amazon reviews are helpful. but really, you should just go ahead and buy this book and read it. do it now. trust me. once you pick up this book, it will be hard to put it down.

as for that coveted blue or pink ipod i mentioned last month, i actually ended up not asking for it for xmas. i figured there wouldnt be any more available right now: most were sold out b/c just about everyone wanted one this year. i still think itd make a lovely birthday present, though. you know what else? by the time may rolls around, maybe the headphones will be new and improved. as awesome as ipods are, those earbud-style headphones are a pain in the butt.

our homemade peppermint bark turned out fine on xmas eve, and the williams-sonoma chocolate peppermint cookies we made with it were excellent. (recipes to be posted sometime. i swear i havent forgotten). what else? ive been knitting like crazy these days. can you think of a better way to pass time on a cold winter day? i sure cant, especially if theres a cup of tea (or better yet, hot cocoa with baileys in it!) to enjoy alongside my yarn & needles.

mom & dads anniversary was yesterday! someday i just might tell their story here, of two recent college graduates who met soon after arriving in washington, dcshe from birmingham, alabama, he from eugene, oregon. for any cynics out there, lasting true love is possible.

what else? 1) sister & i talked about me and my 1st triathlon. is '05 the year? i don't know. it depends on how other things in my life come together, which brings me to 2) don't ask about my personal statement. it still hangs over my head. but it'll get done. and then whatever happens, happens. OK, now: more updates must wait til later. "WHO KILLED WELLINGTON?" i dont know but i think that question means its time to continue reading my new book...
