a fickle cat & a poinsettia [weekend update #1]

i am fickle and finicky as a feline...still deciding on a new look and am trying this template out. what do you think? i think i really like the yarnball design b/c it's simple and clean. some layouts look too cluttered b/c of distracting images or a dizzying combination of too many colors. this one has a uniform color combination, BUT... as much as i like the color purple, is it TOO purple? (i tried to go into the HTML code and change the font color to black or dark blue instead, but the colors won't change for some reason). we'll see whether this layout lasts all weekend or not, though it's a strong contender.

oh, yes! one more thing--are poinsettias dangerous to pets? i'd like to know, once and for all, b/c i've heard both yes & no. see, i'm going to ellen's holiday party tomorrow afternoon/evening, and was thinking about taking her a poinsettia, but then i remembered that she and dave are cat owners. i'd hate to give them a poinsettia, and then see their cats chew the leaves and get sick and die or something. in that case, wine or chocolate would be a safer choice. no matter what, though, i won't show up empty-handed, b/c i am most definitely going to make a tasty appetizer/snack and take it with me.
