turkey in the straw
say what?!
ever heard of the jones soda company? they've got some yummy flavored sodas, like the black cherry, and lemon drop (the two that i've tried). but did you know that for this thanksgiving, they want to put some turkey in your straw?
according to this recent article in the seattle times, the company is test-marketing a limited batch of turkey-and-gravy flavored soda! according to another article i saw online yesterday, this soda is free of fat, sugar, and carbohydrates, and also free of any meat products.
it's not the first time the soda company dared to experiment with non-traditional, savory vs. sweet sodas. in the past, they've made ham-flavored soda, and also a fish taco-flavored drink.
now that's just plain..."yuck". give me a cherry coke instead.
are you curious? are you daring enough to want to try it? well unfortunately: you'll only be able to find turkey-and-gravy flavored soda if you live in either washington state or michigan. otherwise, you're outta luck.
