at chelsea piers...

after saturday's shock of stumbling upon an ex-boyfriend's webpage (and his girlfriend's), there's something happy i totally forgot to mention:

i'm excited to say i'll be going to a friend's wedding next year (june '04) in nyc. not only have i not been to new york in *ages*. this is also going to be a jewish wedding--i've never been to one before. i have been to a passover seder, a bar mitzvah, and a synogogue, but not a jewish wedding. so i'm especially looking forward to that experience. plus, this is a good friend. i haven't seen her in several years, and going to her wedding also means i'll be seeing other people i know whom i haven't seen or been in touch with for a long, long while.

i was totally bummed out about not getting up to nyc back in february when the blizzard came and paralyzed the east coast and shut down amtrak service. sure, i may go up there before the wedding, but if not, then going to nyc in june '04 is a sure thing.

my friend said it's going to be at the lighthouse at chelsea piers. i had neither heard of it before, nor been. but maybe some of you are familiar with the city and know about it. i asked my sister and she knows about it since a lot of her friends live/have lived in new york. i looked it up online, and found the lighthouse site, and the general chelsea piers page. go check them out.

more later....
