hello, i'm charlotte.
...and it's nice to meet you. so i got all grad-student-angsty in my last post. but hey--it's a "diary" after all, so my real fears just came spilling out. i'm *cautiously* hopeful after a really good meeting with my advisor at school this afternoon. she gave me some great feedback on my research, so it looks like i'm doing everything i'm supposed to be, so far! yesterday, i typed a short update here, then clicked to post it, only to discover the entry wasn't there. it's probably because right as i was adding the entry, i accidentally severed my internet connection by pulling the computer too far out and disconnecting my T1 line and then quickly plugging it in, but it was too late.
my friend allison and i went to see the Sex and the City movie this past weekend. although i'm not normally super-girly, i suddenly really want a new handbag and some fancy shoes. and i'm in the mood for a fancy drink. a cosmo sounds good...or maybe a lemon drop martini.
have you ever taken those silly "Which Sex and the City Character are you?" quizzes? i took several of them about five years ago and usually came out as Miranda (most of the time). that's probably b/c the way i think is kind of analytic, given my female INTJness. but, i occasionally came out as Charlotte. it probably depended on my mood while taking the quiz.
so...what's changed in five years? well, in an attempt to procrastinate, i just went and took the following THREE quizzes (below), and i am Charlotte on ALL of them. so let's hear it for feminine optimism and love and fairytale weddings! ;-)
