northern lights, total eclipse...of the heart
(1st weekend entry)
just dropping in to do a quick update while i have a chance. brrr!!! it's so cold out, and what a difference a week makes: when i wrote about last weekend's winery excursion a few days ago, it was 84 degrees and i was in shorts. sadly, not so anymore.
hey--did i mention that one night last week, we got the rare treat (at least this far south) of seeing the aurora borealis? i'd never seen the northern lights before. i think it was because of that solar magnetic storm. wow! it started with a red glow which then transformed into a curtain of red and white light, moving from north to south. then, this evening i watched the lunar eclipse, and it couldn't have been a better night for it. perfect.
okay. time for bed--i've gotta be up early for the american heart association 5K.
