adrenaline rushes & congeniality
WEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! last night, there was plenty of sam adams octoberfest to go around. need i say more? i am so wickedly in love w/ the boys of boston right now. history is absolutely made to be re-written. go red sox...this is your year, your moment, shine on!
and, while the adrenaline flows freely, here's something else to celebrate if you are a movie buff: once again, it's time for the 17th annual film festival. it kicks off tonight. this year's festival theme is Speed, and will explore our accelerated culture of fast food and quick cuts and the history of racing and chasing themes within movies. the special guest is none other than miss congeniality, herself, sandra bullock. she's slated to receive the festival's film award on saturday evening.
the film festival happens every late-october. it is a four-day whirlwind of various screenings, exhibits, forums, workshops, etc. and as with other well known film festivals, there is a different and interesting/unique theme each year. for more about the festival in general, and to see past years' themes and honored guests, go here.
